It has been more than 20 years since I last visited India, I have been busy all these years keeping up with all my business operations in the United States but finally I am in a position today where I no longer have to work or think where my next paycheck will come from. I was born in Kolkata, also known as West Bengal with three of my other siblings in India. My older brother was the smart one in the family and he quickly got acceptance into University of Delhi and he was set on his way to a bright future. My own stroke of luck came when I was approved for a visa to come to the United States and with my education finished in India; I took the first available flight to the United States.

 

With a background in Computer Science, I took my first job in an IT firm and I worked there for several years. A Few years after, I met my wife to be and we settled down and lived comfortably for a while, but comfort was not forever. I found myself working long hours, not being able to come home and see my family and not even having time to do the things I wanted to do. I always liked riding a motorcycle in India and even going on trips whenever I could, but this was no longer an option for me. I had to stick to a desk job and our company was under pressure from all sides and so was I. Just earning a living did not mean being able to live free, I still had to work for someone and I wanted to change that.

 

I started looking for a new job and I found myself using the Internet a lot since it was during a time the Internet began to rapidly expand and grow. I spent several months searching and I was sort of successful with my first online business but it was not enough and I searched more until I finally found solid information and tools to do business online that took me from earning a decent living to making over a MILLION Dollars a year. With everything in place I quit my job and I settled down and I began to work at home. My income just kept coming in monthly, and I no longer had to work for anyone. I had so much free time outside of work I was shocked but in the same time thrilled.

 

I actually went and bought a motorcycle and drove around like I used to with my brother in India. I was able to sponsor my family and bring them here to the United States, so I had no reason to go back to India. I have been very successful since then and I live more than comfortably and that is when I thought about what I could do to help people, especially people coming from the same roots as me. I realized the best way for me to help people was not to give charity, or send money back home but it was to educate and teach people to do something that they never thought possible and help them build something for themselves that will provide for the future. I believe what I learned if shared can make a difference to anyone that accepts it and makes use of it.
